That depends on which medicine you use.
Mounjaro (tirzepatide)
Mounjaro can temporarily make the pill less reliable. So use extra contraception, for example a condom:
for the first four weeks after you start, and
for four weeks after each dose increase.
Wegovy and Ozempic (semaglutide)
This advice applies only to Mounjaro. For semaglutide this effect has not been demonstrated.
